CroisiEurope Inaugurates New Ships, Joins USTOA

The 2017 river cruising season has only just begun, and already CroisiEurope is making quite the splash!

The company introduced two new ships to their fleet, a third is coming in June and the fourth and fifth will be making their debut in Siem Reap in August followed by Kasane in December. Finally today, the US Tour Operators Association announced CroisiEurope as its newest Active Member.

Here are a few details about the recent inaugurations of the MS Symphonie II and MS Miguel Torga river cruise ships:

MS SYMPHONIE II, DANUBE/RHINE RIVERS

CroisiEurope inaugurated the first of its new Premium ships, the MS Symphonie II, in Strasbourg on March 17, 2017. Replacing the original MS Symphonie, this latest vessel joins the other five Premium ships within the Danube/Rhine fleet and offers more comfort, space and safety to our valued passengers.In keeping with the times, CroisiEurope paid special attention to open spaces and natural light while using the highest quality materials throughout the interior.

The ship measures 361 feet long and 36 feet wide and accommodates 110 passengers in 55 double-occupancy cabins, with one cabin designed especially for persons with reduced mobility. All air-conditioned cabins have one double bed that can be separated into two twin beds, private bathroom, flat-screen television, radio, hair dryer and safe. The well-lit and expansive public passenger space includes a bar and lounge with dance floor, vast restaurant, sun deck with chaise lounges and a boutique.

MS MIGUEL TORGA, DOURO RIVER

On March 30, 2017 the Schmitter family inaugurated the MS Miguel Torga, in Porto with Ms. Isabel Ferreira de Castro, godmother and director of tourism in Porto and Northern Portugal, and Mr. Domingos Carvas, godfather and mayor of Sabrosa, in attendance. The ship was named after the famous short-story writer and poet who was born in the Sabrosa Region in 1907 considered one of the most influential writers of the 20th century.

This three-deck ship measures 80 meters long (262 ft.) and 11.4 meters wide (37 ft.) and can accommodate 132 passengers in 66 double-occupancy cabins, each with individual climate control (including four suites). Cabins have exterior views, a double bed that can be separated into two twins, armoire, flat-screen television, hair dryer, safe and private bathroom. And of course the ship has one cabin for persons with reduced mobility. A lounge with scenic views, panoramic restaurant, boutique, vast sun deck with chaise lounges and a large 24-m2 pool (258 sq. ft.) provide maximum passenger comfort.
