In response to ever-increasing market demand on the Mekong River, CroisiEurope will inaugurate its newest ship, the RV Indochine II, on September 16 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The newest member of the fleet is in line with the company’s development on rivers across the world.

Details of the ship include:
- Capacity to accommodate 62 passengers in 31 spacious, 194 sq. ft. cabins with 43 sq. ft. private balconies;
- The ship measures 213 ft. long and 43 ft. wide and has a 3.2 ft. reduced draft that allows it to cruise longer than the other ships on Tonle Sap Lake;
- A spacious restaurant is located at the stern and the panoramic lounge bar is at the bow. Both have large windows and lead to an atrium. An outside bar and lounge sits alongside the pool on the upper deck;
- On the main deck, massage services will be available to passengers.
The Indochine II’s design is inspired by the style of the rich commercial fleets cruising on the Mekong: wide, low vessels with prominent sheers on the outside decks covered in exotic wood and encircled with gangways, and a wheelhouse in top position on the bow. The RV Indochine II design naturally fits in with the CroisiEurope fleet, using the same red Vietnamese wood providing cruise-ship charm inside and out.
The interior decor reflects the French colonial era with a touch of contemporary trends, creating its own original style that we like to call “neo- colonial.” Full of charm and elegance, its ambiance echoes the past while remaining firmly within modern vogue.
The 29-person Cambodian crew works hand-in-hand with our French cruise director, guaranteeing the high-quality criteria that have built CroisiEurope’s reputation.
SHIP DETAILS
Vietnamese shipyards worked in partnership with SDI in Nantes, directed by Thibaut Tincelin under the leadership of Patrick Schmitter, of CroisiEurope’s owning family. The RV Indochine II was certified as a passenger ship by the internationally renowned safety consultant, Bureau Veritas. It was designed entirely by Stirling Design International, based in Nantes, France, who was assisted by Ship-ST on the structure design.
The most modern technologies were carefully selected so that this flagship becomes a veritable reference. Its latest generation, low-emission engine ensures propulsion, while a bow thruster guarantees perfect maneuverability in the narrow canals connecting Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong. Respect of the environment and the river was taken into consideration by installing two large water treatment units, each having a 7-ton daily capacity. Fresh water production is done by two osmosis units at a rate of 848 cubic feet per day. Moreover, climate control and ventilation in the ship are equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology.
The passenger areas have benefited from our careful attention just as much as the technology. Cabins are spacious: behind a slatted door, separated bathroom and toilet facilities provide optimal comfort.
Wide decks include multiples areas to relax and have fun—on the bow, near the restaurant and the water, and at the bar on the stern of the upper deck. A huge outside lounge surrounds a large raised, cool-water pool shaded by one of the ship’s two awnings.
The vessel will cruise between Saigon (Vietnam) and Siem Reap (Cambodia) via Phnom Penh from August to April.

Like the other CroisiEurope ships on the Mekong, the RV Indochine II will cruise both directions between Siem Reap, Cambodia and Saigon, Vietnam via Phnom Penh from August to April.
