Cunard is hosting its third annual Transatlantic Fashion Week Crossing on its flagship liner Queen Mary 2 departing from England on September 2 and arriving into NYC in time to catch the style and couture of New York Fashion Week.
Joining the voyage is Virginia Bates, best known for London’s ‘Virginia’, a mecca of vintage clothing and accessories that became inspiration for designers including John Galliano and Ralph Lauren, just to name a few. She will present a collection to guests and provide insight to the industry in which she helped to inspire.
Also joining the voyage will be Richard Young, world renowned photographer to the stars. During the Crossing, Richard will be giving a presentation of his life and the famous people he has photographed, an exhibit onboard, a Q&A, and more. Completing the line-up is fashion historian Colin McDowell, InStyle founder Hal Rubenstein, and Brand Director of MPORTER.com Jeremy Langmead. Undergraduates from the University of Westminster’s Fashion Design BA Honors course will showcase their Autumn/Winter 2018/19 designs on board.
The fourth annual Transatlantic Fashion Week Crossing, leaving London on July 28, 2019, will feature another incredible lineup of fashion’s biggest names. British milliner Stephen Jones and American model and author, Pat Cleveland, will join the voyage along with shoe designer Stuart A. Weitzman, who has designed footwear has designed footwear for everyone from Beyoncé to Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.
