Sunsail announces a brand-new journey in Sicily for 2019. The eight day adventure sails along the Sicilian Coast and Aeolian Islands, exploring the stunning volcanic islands, spectacular black sand beaches and more.
The new SailEATalia Sail, Wine & Taste of Italy flotilla departs from Sunsail’s Portorosa, Sicily base and begins with mouth-watering seafood and local homemade wines on the natural hot spring island of Vulcano. Flotilla guests will also stop at the island of Stromboli, which boasts superb snorkeling spots, anchor off the island of Filicudi to explore the ruins of Bronze Age settlements and enjoy a buffet dinner with honey-sweet Malvasia wine. Mooring at the famous white pumice beach, guests end their journey with wine tasting in Lipari and a group dinner in Faragloni.
A flotilla is the perfect mix of private and group journeys with guests sailing their own boat (with the option to hire a skipper!) and meet other boaters at the pre-planned food & wine stops along the way.
