American Cruise Lines Sails into 2023 with 3 New Ships, 10 New Itineraries, 21 New Ports

American Song

American Cruise Lines announces 3 new small ships, 10 new itineraries, and 21 new ports for the 2023-2024 season ahead. The company has just published a brand new 2023-2024 brochure and all cruises are available to book online. Next year, American will have 17 small ships exploring 35 states along 50+ itineraries, including over 11 itineraries on the Mississippi River alone. All the company’s small ships and riverboats accommodate fewer than 200 guests and can be viewed via virtual tours on American’s website.

American Cruise Lines is introducing 3 new small ships in 2023: a 6th modern riverboat coming to the Mississippi River in April, American Serenade (175-passenger sister ship to 2022’s American Symphony), and 2 brand new 109-passenger Coastal Cats, American Eagle and American Glory (the first 2 ships in the 12-ship Project Blue fleet announced earlier this year). American Eagle and American Glory will sail East Coast itineraries, beginning in August and October 2023.

American is also introducing 10 fabulous new itineraries in 2023-2024, exploring 21 new ports of call from San Francisco, CA, to Sag Harbor, NY, to Key West, FL. New cruises include the company’s first-ever California cruise, an 8-Day Round-trip San Francisco Bay Cruise which highlights Napa and wine country; a new 15-Day National Parks & Legendary Rivers itinerary which includes an 8-Day cruise on the Columbia & Snake Rivers and a 7-Day exploration through 3 National Parks—Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton; and an 8-Day Tennessee Rivers cruise between Chattanooga & Nashville, TN. In 2024, American will offer adventurous new cruises in Florida and the Keys as well as several new itineraries highlighting coastal New England and Maine.

American’s personalized destination-focused cruises visit only domestic ports of call along both the East and West Coasts, Alaska to Florida, and the major rivers in-between, from the Hudson to the Mississippi to the Columbia and Snake (Mississippi itineraries also explore along the Ohio, Cumberland, and Tennessee Rivers).

American’s small ship itineraries offer an all-inclusive experience and feature over 400 exciting shore excursions across the country. All cruises deliver incredible value and include complimentary onboard enrichment and entertainment, fine cuisine, wine & beer with both lunch and dinner, and a festive cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres each evening. Most ships also include complimentary alternative casual dining, breakfast room service, and Wifi. All American’s ships and riverboats have 100% outward-facing accommodations and nearly all staterooms have private furnished balconies and full-size sliding glass doors. 2023-2024 cruise pricing includes Port Charges & Fees as well as tips/gratuities. All American’s Mississippi River, Columbia & Snake Rivers and Alaska cruises (from Juneau) include Complimentary Pre-Cruise hotel stays. All the company’s River and Coastal cruises also offer domestic Flat-Rate Airfare.

American Cruise Lines won over 20 industry awards in 2022: among the most notable are, USA Today’s 2022 10Best Awards for Best River Cruise Line, Best Boutique Cruise Line, and Best River Ship for both American Song and American Heritage; Conde Nast Traveler’s 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Small Ships and Best River Ships; Travel & Leisure’s 2022 World’s Best Award for 10 Best River Cruise Lines; and US News & World Report’s Top 10 Mississippi River Cruises for 2022-2023.
